It depends which model. I own an EV and speaking from experience. The stated range is easily 25-30% lower at highway speeds. That means yes, you often have to charge a Tesla every 200km when doing a road trip.
I own one also (model 3) and regularly make ~400 mile (646 kms) trips at highway speeds and only have to charge for a total of 30 minutes. I usually stop twice to charge the lower end my battery but even if I need to stop once it is 35 minutes.
