[0] is one of the few developers who make great interactive fiction for Android (and maybe iOS). Their "Sourcery" and "Sourcery 2" games are really really nice (although terribly short). The "Puzzle Agent" games by Telltale Games are serviceable Layton-alikes, and available on various PC and mobile platforms.
