Apple Faces Scrutiny as Sanctioned Entities Slip Through App Store Controls (washingtonpost.com)

Whoever posted/titled this has a bone to pick with Apple specifically, apparently, because the actual article is just about "App Stores" (i.e. both Apple & Google).

>"Blacklisted foreign companies persist in app stores [...]"

>"Watchdog finds firms and organizations in Apple and Google stores [...]"

>"[...] remained available in app stores maintained by Apple and Google [...]"

Wonder why the submitter of this article titled it "Apple Faces Scrutiny [...]"...?

(Kind of funny that 7777777phil, the submitter, was just complaining about a clickbait title yesterday! And then they submit this with an editorialized title.)

My bad, I was going to link to a MacRumours [1] article, where this title comes from and then while doing so saw the original WP source that I linked to. No further intention behind it.

#notjustapple

As they say, Apple is rarely the first to do something but boy do they do it right

OK, but it's not like they allowed a truly dangerous app to slip through, like one that charges for a service without giving Apple a cut.

Or free apps that are supposedly too similar to some other apps that they can't name and that doesn't seem to exist (my personal story).
