Does it give you the option (in GNOME) to adjust the power settings? If you are using one of the spins though, that would make sense (that things aren't as polished).

Power settings are there but to keep it as low as say on Debian or Arch I have to disable boost. The CPU usage is maybe 1-2% higher at idle but that shouldn't end up in 3-4 degrees.
