And also an archived one. Large portions of the list are out of date and, in some cases, frankly unsafe. Moreover, the notion of degoogling is misguided: privacy should be the aim, not eradicating Google.


A lot of privacy based ones on there, too. Infact it's the entire point of that repo. Nobody says use all of them. And, it's ...a list. There is absolutely nothing misguided about degoogling. It's not using google products. No google workspaces -> cryptpad, nextcloud, self-hosting. E-mail alternatives -> proton, but again, self-hosting alternatives on that list. Firefox, with tons of firefox addons.

Go check out some of these pages, then google a string with quotes from one of them that only that site would have "something that site would have"

It won't come up in the Google results because it buries it so deep, or doesn't even index it that it's ridiculous.

We can have privacy, and a better web.


Although, eradicating Google would mostly be a net positive (I solely fear for YouTube’s contents).
