This would be relevant if the US were a functioning democracy. But the defence contractors have already seen the trillions to be made in boosting fears of Chinese AI and will, as usual, have 100x more say in policy than the electorate.

Even the employees of Google, Amazon, OpenAI don't realise yet that they are working for military contractors suckling off the teat of the US gov.
