As someone who also has lived under state funded/controlled media I have to say that it is terrible and I hate paying for it. It produces almost nothing of value, but consumes enormous amounts of resources to do low effort entertainment, which is just as well provided by private companies. It also does extremely unfunny copies of American TV shows. The best part of the whole thing is them streaming the government proceedings, which could easily be done on a comparatively miniscule budget.

They also are always biased in favor of what the government position is, which is completely obvious since the government is funding them and has oversight. Trusting them to fix anything is identical to trusting the government to fix it. There will not be a revolution forthcoming from them.

I'm a little confused about why Cory describes lobbyists influencing government regulation as 'Using the master's tools against him' with 'guerrilla tactics'. That's just using a system in the way it was designed to be used.
