Yahoo Mail Problem

Got logged out of Yahoo mail and couldn't log back in despite keying in the correct passpord. Tried rest password using recovery email , receieved the 6 digit code and the message "We can't recover your account online because there are no other options on file for your account"appeared. Tried the yahoo chat, yahoo facebook chat and they couldn't a solution or any reason for that. It seems that there's no other way to log into the email. Anyone with the same problem?


If you’re in the USA you can follow the steps I followed to get my old email back as I’ll list below. Yahoo customer service by phone is a paid service though, so be prepared to spend $5-$12 depending on whatever their system decides. You get a month of phone support service tho. Go to https://recovery.yahoo.com/ Fill out your email, call the phone number and provide them the code. If they tell you they can’t find alternate ways to verify your account set up a phone call more than 12 hours later and re start the process. I had to do this three times 10-24 hours apart before their system would let them use a secondary form of account verification. The number for recovery suppprt is +18007417610


I've tried it. I filled out the email, call the phone number and was instructed to key in the code from my email. But it kept rejecting the code. It seems yahoo could not match the code they sent to my recovery email. Since a code was sent to me, i presume that the recovery email still exist. But why wouldn't it accept the code it generated itself?

I have two recovery emails. And tried it. The second recovery email got blocked for no reason. Could the account be compromised and now affecting the recovery email ?

Update : I tried to log in again. Again, code sent to my recovery email, and I keyed in the number. This time, the message changed : "We can’t sign you in at the moment. Please try again in a while"

So this is probably a yahoo issue not an issue with my password. Sadly, chat, support centre and calls could not help solve the issue. I guess I'll have to wait and try to log in again to see if I can finally log in.

Update 2 : I got passed the email verification today. But it needs to verify with my phone number now and I am not receiving the code on my mobile (never had this problem previously)...I'm tired...
