I understand why non-technical people think this makes sense, just as I understand why people who hate driving might like self-driving cars. But I don't understand why rich guys who buy expensive cars want to be driven around like an invalid by their self-driving tech, and I don't understand why so many programmers think auto-coding is a good idea. It's not just foolish, it's the glorification of weak-mindedness. "Hey look everybody, I'm a coder who's proud not to code." What??
