The old Heathkit HAM radio had a red wire that was tagged "Don't remove this or you will be able to transmit on regulated frequencies!"

This kind of thing has been around 50 years at least :)



During prohibition you could buy bricks of compressed grape must with instructions on how to avoid accidentally turning them into wine.



The article doesn't hint at the limiter being removed (or not installed in the first place) until the end of the article. But yeah I would venture to guess that limiter won't be on that truck for very long. Maybe just long enough to get it registered and pass inspection.
