Perhaps I should have used "cloned" instead of "forged" to be clearer. You can't remotely clone a SIM unless you use an OTA exploit or something. It's not the 'normal' case.

But what's the point in cloning a SIM card if SIM swapping is possible without them? SIM cards have shown to have no extra security than an eSIM.
