I essentially stop going down a level when I get to somewhere I can't really control. For example, I'd probably stop at your realization that "investors are only interested in a company scaling at a certain rate". I can't make even narrow changes to investment mentality, so there is no way I'll make such a broad one.

Unfortunately, this often means there is no resolution either.
