Twitter just suspended my user account which I've had for ~12 years. I didn't receive any communication from them that they were suspending me or why.
I learned today that the "download data" option is unavailable for suspended accounts (you can still log in, but you can't download your data or see any of your DMs/conversations). My latest account data backup is over a year old, so I'm missing a lot of things I wrote.
If you use Twitter and care about your account data, set a periodic reminder to download your account information while you still can.
If you run a service provider, make sure your data takeout functions still work even for suspended accounts.
