Oh!!!!! Those guys! Ok, first, it looks pretty darn impressive when you visit a national cemetery and see all those displayed. So, I am not in anyway knocking those vets who served and died.

But, I remember, Wreaths Across America was trying to build a flagpole in rural Maine, that you could see from outer space. Now, this is starting to look like a tourist exhibit to make money.

I do not want people to make money off our Vets. I want them to help the vets in every way possible. Perhaps a modest amount of money, sure. But, please, no $400K salaries.

Maybe we donate $30M to actually helping vets who need help.

this is what the va is for , americans pay piles of money in taxes , and still the helping vets scams exist .

Yes, I was so disappointed with my visit last year - not yet hopeless, but close to it. Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle is a better place.

Elliot Bay is a shadow of what it used to be when it was in Pioneer Square.

We should all take the train to Powell's.

Which one? The original one in Chicago or that other one in Portland?

I cry when I visit the Stanford Bookstore. In the 1980's if I needed any technical book, it was there. Now, just stupid clothing.

My fingers have long forgotten all the PERL they once knew. But it was always pleasant.

When I was conducting an on-line degree, there was a plagiarism statement, and it seems whenever I searched for a similar plagiarism statement from other universities, and they all seemed to be copied from each other.

KISS. Keep It Simple Silly!

No large jpg images to load. Works on most platforms.

I would not mind a few more search options and an ability to flag items for later reading or to mute individuals. But, overall, it is fine.

> an ability to flag items for later reading

You can pander to aspirational intended later reading fantasy by using [favorite] for posts and same for individual comments (if you select on the comment time stamp).

You can unfavorite after reading or just grow a longer and longer list of get around to that later.

> or to mute individuals

Reasonably easy with custom filters on <favorite> afblocker extension.

Thank you.

great job!!

I'd drink 12-15 cups of coffee a day and start the day with 12 Oreo cookies and after I solve my first computer problem, usually in 15 minutes, I'd knock down another 12 Oreos. Now, its zero Oreos and one cup of coffee max a day, with many days, no coffee.

I sure hope there are no bailouts. The tax breaks or support extended to the community utilities to support the infrastructure buildouts will be problematic enough. I do not see getting around that, but that may not be all that large. I still see the data centers in peoples backyards as being similar to communities that felt they needed to have a sports stadium and they bent over backwards, only to be held captive by a team that did not care about the sponsoring community.
