It's a great resource but you have to be sneaky if you don't want to pay for ads. I've been banned from investing and wallstreetbets for just mentioning my website even though my posts got 100+ upvotes and great feedback from users. I get it though... too much self promotion could be toxic and wouldn't allow reddit to make money. It is what it is.
Since it's election season it's a good opportunity to introduce a pet project I've been working on. Since 2012, the financial disclosures of congress have been made public. Considering what has happened recently with Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler (https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/03/congress-i...), I was curious to see if members of congress might make superior investments due to the information they are privileged to.
For now I only have data for the house of representatives, but it's still fascinating to data mine this huge trove of hard to get data (1500+ pdfs so far this year). Some representatives like Hon Alan S Lowenthal made 100% gains in the past 6 months in niche sectors like solar companies.
