I'd say it's something in that direction (GameMaker) yeah. One big difference (other than the AI part) is that both building and playing is multiplayer by default. (Though of course, you can choose to make things single player and to build solo). With biting the hand that feeds it; I sure hope not! :) I've built my fare share of obscure indie games, and we in the company have friends and family members who do now as well, so the aim is to build something that can help people like this.
I read it as probably containing something deep that I should save for when I have time to go through the details. Maybe we syntaxlings need time to get comfortable.
You're right, they kind of assume the reader knows what they are thinking. My guess is that it is because white isn't used for comradery except if you are extreme, whereas it is normal to do so for non-white groups, so they are trying to delegitimize the extreme group. Whether it is the effective course of action given the goal is an interesting question.
Are you trying to engage us? :) Get rid of engagement optimization and I'd guess that it still turns bad. It is what grabs attention in a low-agency mood.
My wife, Christine, started this to help find masks for healthcare workers. Her Mom is treating COVID-19 patients and has a single mask to reuse for a month, which she carries around in a plastic bag.
Is this legal? The fed provides this data for free (http://www.fededirectory.frb.org/download.cfm) and also says, "The information contained in the directory may not be sold, relicensed, or otherwise used for commercial gain." Am I missing something?
We're not pulling the data from the fed site, so there is no issue with the use of that data. We work with a group that maintains this data independently of the published fed directory.
I am also interested about this. I hope someone with enough legal background chimes in here.
Could the company claim that they are providing a service of programmatic access to that data? I mean there is added value here, so I don't see anything particularly wrong here, ethically speaking.
Well if they're charging for the service which uses data which says "The information contained in the directory may not be sold, relicensed, or otherwise used for commercial gain", it's hard to argue that they're NOT doing just that.
