Would we have a better or evolved markdown?

marketing is how ideas spread. And ideas that spread are those that win.

That's why AI-sloppy software would go viral and make loads of money while properly engineered ones die off.

When people need knowledge, they know where to find it. They don't need marketing for that.

I think that's a very narrow view of our society dynamics.

Engineering You by @mjpt777 is one of my favourite things to learn/watch in the past week.

It talks about what makes a software engineer and how to get better at it. You'd have thought Mathematics and Algos/Data-Structure aren't important.

have they reverted to microservices?

Mono services in a micro repository. /s

this performance aspects is interesting. So time to try C# again. I;m learning Zig for some of those reasons, but also because the language has a small scope and the language features will be smaller

If you are leaning towards Zig, I don't think C# will be what you are looking for. It is a good option along with Java and Go, but not in Zig, C, Rust territory if that is what you want.

I wrote my first queue this week, and started learning DSA this week as well. I use to ignore those topics, but I think the path I seek would benefit from that knowledge.

Thanks. web dev or game dev are still developers. I don't subscribe to the "real developer" mindset, except if they're vibe coders :)

After years in web development, I’m hitting the reset button. For the next 12 months, I'm going all-in on learning Zig and systems programming—in public. I'm anxious, excited, and ready to tackle something hard.

Zig is only a means to an end. I recently shared Phil Eaton's post, and it helped me reach this decision after a long time having this nagging feeling.

LOL!

This is cool, keep it up!
