The daily and seemingly random price fluctuations of tickets are much larger than the cost of meals you'd save, basically noise.

The "noise" is very likely intentional.

A common way to price discriminate is to make the cheaper options take time and effort to obtain. People with less money will put in more time and effort e.g. price comparison, looking for discounts (codes or whatever), taking a few days to check prices, willing to move travel dates/times to get a cheaper price. Those with more money pay more and value their time/effort more highly.

Flight prices are not random - they are highly optimised (even using genetic A/B price generation algorithms that the airlines themselves might not fully be able to predict).

PS: Avoid LATAM Airlines Chile - dark pattern on website - those bastards increased the price while I was entering the credit card to pay (a popup - was ~2% but a dirty trick - maybe discrimination after detecting card owner credit details?).

Speaking as a non-american: From this article I have no clue what ICE was even doing. Detaining whom? For what reason? Without this information I cannot infer whether the protest is warranted or not

Living on the other side of the world, but not under a rock.

What happened to due process? If ICE are detaining illegal immigrants then why are USA citizens so riled up? Something doesn't add up. Could somebody please explain the situation based on critical thinking, not emotional talking points?

I think the important thing is only that you exhale longer than you inhale. Inhaling activates SNS, exhaling PNS, the latter is for relaxation. So the more you can tilt that ratio towards exhaling while still breathing comfortably the better

But you're still ruining other people's fun for selfish reasons. Why not find some fun activity that's not a zero sum game?

The type of cheating I do rarely interfaces with other players, outside of enriching them with the spoils of my effort when I'm through. In a protracted way I can agree this "ruins the fun"...but not in the way that griefing does. I just spike in-game economies and leave. Balance is shortly restored.

> outside of enriching them with the spoils of my effort when I'm through

For what it's worth, to me and I assume a lot of other people, this ruins the game. There's nothing I dislike more than getting invited to a survival minecraft server (or whatever) and having someone dump diamond everything on me as a gift. What even is the point of playing the game anymore at that point?

If you're busy you're probably already using public commuting time for reading books etc.

It's at the end of the article

Typing fast is incredibly useful for taking notes during meetings. If you can basically transcribe the conversation in real time, it helps a lot. Ofc you could record and run it through TTS, but that's overhead, gives you a messy huge textfile with lots of unnecessary information, and has privacy/legal issues

Your litmus test fails simply because John Carmack prefers Windows.

You're conflating sitting and bad posture. Sitting will have bad effects even if you sit straight

I’m not, I mentioned both. My blood pressure is measurably worse with bad posture. Sounds like BS, but if I sit forward and slouch it’s several points higher than if I sit all the way back in the chair and straight up. And bad posture is the primary correlation to pain.
