I feel for you. Why would you allow laptop traffic to be routed through the phone though? At least in iOS plugging the phone for charging or backup does not automatically tether.
Not only did I not notice, I have never known that country prefixes were a thing, having to deal with tzdata since 1999. I wonder if that timezone was typed in manually? I doubt Postgres 15 file contained it to begin with.
That’s three times too many. I have been running an Ubuntu server at home for 10 years and went through probably 4 LTS releases and the number of times apt flaked out on me - exactly zero.
I'm running Ubuntu 24.10 and they broke the upgrade to 25.04 if you're using ZFS on the boot drive. Their solution was to prevent the upgrade from running, and basically leave behind anyone stuck on 24.10 to figure it out for themselves.
If they weren't going to support the feature why did they provide it as an option on the installer without any warnings or disclaimers? This isn't some bespoke feature that I hacked together, it's part of the official installer. If I had known it wasn't fully supported then I wouldn't have used it.
For the same reason people dress differently: it looks cool, futuristic, makes it more individual, and makes it feel good to use their own system. I am with you on this preference: transparency is distracting to me, but I see the appeal - I ran transparent terminals 20 years ago.
Something mentioned in WWDC stuck out to me (think it was Craig) about current state of LLMs not living up to their high standard of quality. Because they absolutely could (and kind of are, with the foundation models stuff) build their own. Letting Claude or OpenAI handle the Xcode changes via their integration in the next Xcode makes more sense in that context.
You are probably thinking of ibuprofen which is considered non safe during pregnancy. Paracetamol is pretty much the only OTC pain relief medication that is recommended for pregnant women.
