What is your argument? Android is one of the most successful software projects of all time. It seems easily monetizable.

First put five people from the same company in a room with an adjustable thermostat and see what happens.

“Scientists have proven octopuses are complex, intelligent creatures who can feel a full range of emotions,"

These animals get a lot of hype for their intelligence lately, but surely cows and horses are more intelligent, yet still farmed and eaten.

If there is a 'god equation' it will almost certainly include a+b=c because we use it all the time to describe "diverse biological systems with vast implementation constraints".

This article is lacking originality and insight to such degree that I susupect it is patentable.

I love your hot take, but you forgot the nonlinear transformation which lets the "god equation" represent literally everything.

The post makes a nice point but it's not really surprising that everything can be modeled by an equation capable of universal approximation.

What I don't get is how genetic systems relate to this. They don't hook into it cleanly and the author just jumps right past them even though they're the most fundamental (biological) system of all those described.

Genetic systems code gene regulatory networks. I spent most of the essay on them.

i thought bernoulli's theorem is already the god equation :) . No equation is more fundamental this one from thermodynamics.

Most people cannot hold themselves (or their loved ones) accountable because we love ourselves and accept any excuse at all. This is the main appeal of personal trainers imo, to tell you to do what you already know you should.

Great idea. Also, thank you for making it human.

Cheers. Beautifully put. Can I quote you on that? :)

Sure :)

There are bosons that carry charges and/or mass like the weak bosons and the gluons. There is nothing in principle about bosons that would make them incapable of building logic gates out of them.

Some advanced civilization (future us) may use them. Even photons interact with each other a little bit due to QED.

For sure, you can if you want to. And if you pull it off there are some advantages, which the article describes.

It's just harder.

I wonder if it's just harder for us, now. It used to be hard for humans to make fire: nowadays you have match stick or lighter technology to make fire just like that. I wonder if we as humanity will be able to build the technological harness around light just as well.

There's also composite bosons like cooper pairs which are just made up of two electrons.

Possibly because being in the business of trying to turn iq edge into money, not data edge into money.

A myopic defocus screen effect. Some gradient descent may be used to approximate a difficult mathematical function, but not AI in any meaningful way.

Applying multiple svg filters on top of each other in the needed order resulted in Firefox dropping the filters completely. I filed a bug for Firefox: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1873644 As soon as it is fixed there will be a Firefox extension, and the live demo on the site will start working.

The Mac version is in progress.

How about Linux (Ubuntu, Mint)?

There's a section of the page that says:
