My perception is that many on the right bought into conspiracies about Covid and the Covid vaccines. That led to them consuming more general antivax content, as well as an overall greater distrust of science and medicine in general, who were seen as the enemy.
I think what you mean to say is that you like what doge has claimed to have found so far. Unfortunately it doesn’t hold up to even the slightest scrutiny.
The word evil is a bit overused, but in the case of Stephen Miller it fits like a glove.
I’ve said since the beginning that that saving grace (if there is one) of Trump’s first term was that he was disorganized, and he surrounded himself with people who kept him in check to some degree. People who were willing to tell him that he couldn’t do certain things (prime example: White House legal counsel kept Trump from doing the crazy things that people like Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell suggested after he lost the 2020 election).
He’s not going to make that mistake this time, and he’s putting people in power who will do what he wants without question. That’s the scary part of the next four years.
In my experience matte filaments hide the layer lines much better. Between that and the overall quality of recent printers like the Bambu or the Prusa Mk4, I don’t find the need to do any post processing.
I do want to challenge you on this. I don’t have evidence matte filaments are better. I would love to see an example of these filaments outperforming. I believe it is true, but would love to see a demonstration!
It isn’t really that they’re better as filaments, it’s just that the matte nature makes them less reflective and therefore you don’t see the layer lines as much.
Performance wise, most matte filaments are more brittle and have worse layer adhesion due to the matting pigment, but do a good job at hiding lines as the reduction in specular highlights reduce the visibility of them. Another good trick is fuzzy skin setting with both length and depth settings at 0.4x-0.8x layer height.
This is sad to see. I haven't used PT in over a decade probably, but I used it heavily for 3-4 years before that. As a contrast to other "agile" tools, it was a breath of fresh air. So simple, everything was all on one screen, so easy to move things from state to state. My team loved it because they could just open it up in a window and leave it open all day, making changes as needed. I don't think I've ever seen anything since that came close to it.
I just logged in for the first time in years and found that I still had two side projects in there. Time to download them I guess.
The funny thing is I did finish reading it. But I wanted to go back and reference something and that's when I couldn't find it. Thus proving I had learnt nothing.
One of the "tells" for military aircraft flying without ADSB is when you see refueling tankers (KC-135) doing loops for periods of time, and no other military aircraft around. Those tankers are refueling something, they don't just fly around for grins.
