Hey Jared, we spoke when I interviewed about 10 months ago. Since then I became a user and actually used some features as inspiration for an app in the fitness space I was working on.
I just reapplied but wanted to double check if 10 months is past the cooldown policy? Regardless, still a big fan!
Thanks for the kind words, and glad to hear you drew inspiration from us for the fitness app! Since interviewing is a big time investment on both sides, we generally recommend reapplying once there's been a material change in experience or skill that makes it very clear you'd be an especially strong fit. We'll take a look at your application and follow up!
Hi! I happened to see this post before it was detached.
For a bit of additional context: we hire for multiple roles and have actually hired multiple people through these threads :)
We review every application by hand and get back to every single applicant, usually within 72 hours, despite thousands of LLM-generated spam/fraud applications. It takes a tremendous amount of time and energy, but we do it because we know how much time and energy candidates invest in applying to our open roles.
If you previously applied and didn't hear back, please shoot me an email so I can look into it: jared.silver@brilliant.org
Thanks for your response :) In my experience almost all companies claim to respond to applications or inquiries but I expect most seekers would say it's more like 1/10.
It may be worth mentioning that you're continuing to open new positions and hire in the next thread. That would be (imo) a positive signal for others and would dispel these types of concerns. Because like others have said, they remember the companies who post over and over again and tend to not bother with them, under the assumption that they just aren't filling the position (if they even exist).

Are you guys able to work with Canadian developers in the NYC timezone, either as independent contractors, or as employees through an Employer of Record (EOR) like Deel? I'd love to get back into education, and I'd bring AI, gamedev, and teaching chops.
Fantastic! I'll be sending in an application ASAP. I think I would have been a good fit for the AI role, but I no longer see it on the jobs page.
I'm actually quite excited about the Math and CS Producer roles, and I see that you'd like examples of existing online interactive teaching work. I can supply shots of static boards I've used for IRL teaching, but I don't currently have interactive work to showcase. I was thinking of applying immediately, but spending the next week making an interactive demo. Would this work, or should I wait to apply until I have everything in place? I don't want to miss out on this opportunity.
Static boards you've used for IRL teaching are totally sufficient for an initial application, so I'd recommend applying sooner rather than later. Best of luck!
Thanks, we'll take a look and get back to you this week! Quick heads up: there's a project link in your resume that sends me to a page with the text "This service has been suspended by its owner."
