The preorder did hit 10k, this is the normal order screen

If they were smart they would show those number here. It's like walking past an empty restaurant.

i finally had that song out of my head.

Wero is fun to use, but there so many features missing. The terminals, for example.

Or, an easy way for vendors or car rental agencies to block a set amount when you rent a car.

However, all of these things can be built and I hope Wero gets the time to grow into a full alternative to US-based payment systems.

Not because I want them to fail, but because this market can use a bit of competition and new ideas.

Yes, actually car rentals is the only reason why I still keep a credit card. I vastly prefer that to any kind of insurance.

Probably merchants like Netflix would also love recurring payment functionality. Let's just hope they'll make them cancelable this yime.

No voice chat.

IRC + Mumble is a good combo in my experience. I only fire up Mumble as-needed since I tend to prefer text chat.

i agree, but you need your people to have 2 logins. Great for friend groups, not working in scale.

Neither one strictly requires a login AFAIK, actually. You can chat with an unregistered nick on IRC, and Mumble has certs, but I think they're optional and don't have associated passwords.

The thing is: None can compete with the Discord in its core features. They either have good chat or good voice, but not a combination of both.

Discord replaced Ventrilo, TeampSpeak and Mumble simply because it merged Slack/IRC-style chatting with an easy to use voice chat that took less resources than skype and less setup than any of the self-hosted version or cheaper than a hosted version.

Low-latency voice chats combined with Slack, I don't know why no one has an alternative for that.

Plus, the backlog of playable games is so awesome. I am working through things I always wanted to play that I can now throw on my steam deck.

If its open, heroic can include their code or solutions, as they do with proton. Rising tide lifts all boats.

I have the same feelings about Bambu. I really like what Prusa is doing for the community and how they drive it forwards - but the Bambu simply works without fuzz. I also came from an Ender and its just so much fun.

gridfinity is really addictive. I have no idea what I want to do with it, but I want to print more.

you know the sad thing? Porsche didn't even try.

They could have copied Teslas playbook and create a cool, fun, overpowered electric 911 or Targa or pull an old, fun concept and make it electric.

Instead, they have a boring SVU and the panamera, one of the probably ugliest car they have.

No one buys a Porsche because they want a sensible car for their family or they need something with large storage. They want midlife-crisis cars that go fast and look sleak.

They are now giving up on their entire electric strategy.

I don't get it. They could have ridden the wave of electric fun vehicles, instead they are giving in. Either because they can't do it or because they had no real interest to begin with.

I know two porsche-owners personally. One sometimes uses his porsche (non SUV, but the small fast one) to go on family vacations (with the kids cramped at the too small back seats, which seems funny to me). The other has an SUV and lives in the country with bad roads; They sometimes use their porsche to commute to work and for everyday-stuff like shopping.

That blows my mind.

I guess its the same mindset as people who buy a mercedes "jeep" (don't know the product id) or range rover and live the middle of the city.

Sorry I'm lost (getting late over here). Wouldn't a Porsche SUV fit perfectly out in the country on bad roads? The Cayenne is made for it?
