In the Netherlands, it's a legal requirement that businesses must accommodate any employee requests for reduced hours, at proportionally reduced pay.

The average person in the Netherlands works 25 hours a week, yet they still have a higher GDP per capita. Not per hour, just overall. They work less, yet generate more.

Small point of contention. Netherlands have lower GDP per capita than USA.

Generally small and/or resource rich countries tend to have a high GDP per capita, so comparisons usually aren't very fair.

Many men are forced in to that exact process in 2017! Except they're simultaneously being told by the women that they're not good enough because they can't get jobs that don't exist. Something women back then didn't have to worry about, despite all their other problems.

Just for your own knowledge, Correct the Record was dissolved after the election and the primary internet PR organization is now called "Share Blue"

Reddit is down. Other sites work. Continuation of the giant DDOS attack on DNS servers from yesterday, perhaps?

Yeah, a bunch of sites just stopped working about 40 minutes ago. At the very least Reddit, Imgur, and Stackoverflow. It seemed too big of a coincidence given the recent DNS attacks over the past few weeks, and Bruce's recent statements about it.

Yeah it just needs to be "The internet was broken so your votes were lost" and then some made up post-hoc explanations that 90% of people don't understand so they can't dispute

It's mostly grey because of all the concrete, in my opinion

The most needlessly sexist thing I'll read today.

But why would that matter? You don't know 89 has your name in it, because the numbers were randomly assigned to random people in the first place. You would just draw the name associated with box 89, which is not necessarily your name.

Whatever box you open, you take the name inside and go to the number you associated with that name. So when you end up at box 89, the last box you opened must have had your name inside. So you will have found your name, provided you got there in under 50 steps.
