Lol, the reaction that you are getting to your post...
They sure have a pretty dim view of their fellow humans while paradoxically believing in the goodness of the gubberment.
One tiny correction to your post. While it's true that most income tax is in the region of 30%, the cumulative taxes would be of the order of 60% of what of what one could potentially earn. Cumulative taxes = income + payroll+ property taxes etc.
Interesting point, there is at least one theory out there which says that neither sunlight nor Vitamin D is necessary if an individual is really healthy. The ones that feel better on the Sun and/or Vitamin D are people who are at least mildly unhealthy and it's of form of addiction where the individual ought to keep taking something to just not feel miserable.
>One of my more heretical beliefs is that tech companies should do more hiring of high brilliant people right out of high school.
I have more. Most average people need less education. No point in putting them through 15+ years of 'education'. They can start working at least part time by the time they are 12 or so. This way they also grow up psychologically very soon.
>Scott Adams said some really stupid, poorly thought out things about minorities and women, and he faced real world consequences for his actions
Or may be he did know that there would be consequences? Many people who are financially secure do make provocative statements. I think he did many of us a favor, because many of us still have to earn a living and cannot speak out.
