Father of 3 here; 1 year, 4 years and a 7 year old. I was also nervous about first kid, I only have few things. Every kid is different, but there are always some generic things to say.

Relax, kids mirror your emotions and can feel if you stress. Even if you are up mid night and are stress about sleep. Just take it easy. Kids don't do it to be mean. They don't have those kind of thoughts.

Kids are simple. They want affection, food and sleep. But they can't get any of it on their own. To begin with, they barely even know if they have feet and hands. So it's your job to help em out.

Babies can be crying or complaining for many reasons; Maybe something is itchy, they are hungry or need to poop. So relax, it's not always something bad. Give them some love, check their diaper, keep tabs on the time since last feed.

First time is always bad. First couple of weeks is just stress. You need to get into a new rytm, but it gets much much better after 2-3 months, where their stomach settles in, they settle in and you can start to enjoy it much more.

Isn't that kinda counter intuitive compared to what e-ink was originally made for?

If you want to make an e-ink laptop (with more functionality than a Kindle), you're going to need to handle scrolling, cursors, or motion of some kind

On the software side of things, we hope to work with a consultancy to develop Wayland protocols that will offer native e-ink support to client applications.

For? It's more like "what can we do with this tech?"

GMK Dots is great ...

You've just entered the rabbit hole. Keychron is a toptier OEM. But far from what a custom can be and is

It's great way to lose weight if you can keep yourself from overeating when your feeding window opens. It's the same result as calorie restriction.

I like stuffing my face instead of eating smaller portions. So I decided to go down to 1 meal a day doing 20/4; I lost around 48 pounds in 3 months.

I also like "stuffing my face" and I can highly recommend sticking to low calorie density foods. For example, I buy bags of frozen vegetables and add them to whatever other main course I'm having. You barely consume any calories, they contain a lot of micronutrients and the volume is enough for you to feel full. There are other similar foods if mixed veggies are not your thing.

Isn't part of the point that if you are doing one meal a day you can eat until you are stuffed and still avoid excess calorie intake?

And that is what I did. Sorry if it was unclear. You can still overeat in one sitting. It all depends what you eat, it's just tougher with one meal.

I m in if. For me I can eat all I want, but here is the surprising part, I do not crave as much as I used to. I am allowed, but genuinely not willing. Another thing I noticed, from experience, if I eat white bread, or cake, I notice it the next day being more hungry

3 years old .. hmn

that's 21 years in JavaScript land

Same I use it every day ... perfect plugin :)

Some feedback on the plugin some of the commands won't work on none US keyboards. The scandinavia keyboard uses shift + : to make ;

and that kinda fucks it up when your shortcuts are: cmd-; cmd-shift-;

I know you can remap in your plugin. Which is great. But this is just a small not to let you (and hopefully other plugin developers) know that this is an issue they should be aware of.

Thanks for the feedback danjessen. I'm struggling a little bit with fully internationalized shortcuts though. I don't have a great understanding about what non-chorded keys the keyboards of the world have available and it feels like just about any key combination won't be natively available for everyone. Hopefully the ability to remap via the config is easy and clear enough that it's not too much trouble.

maybe not alot of the hacker news readers .. but alot of regular people do use Adobe Reader ...

Sorry, should have clarified that. I was replying to a question on HN about "everyone else", presumably "everyone else on HN."

Currently use Pragmata Pro ... It's different, and thats proberbly why I'm trying it out for a while.

I use it with Sublime Text 2 and the scheme called Big Duo
