The purpose of this RCA is to show how a cause & effect diagram helps people understand problems. We used information available online to build this record and we were not hired by Crowdstrike to do this work.
Sologic builds Causelink, a SaaS product with tools to help organizations solve and prevent problems. We support numerous methods of Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. We're looking for someone to help us improve these tools and build new products that help keep people safe, equipment running, and quality high.
The Causelink development team is fully remote, with our main hub in Seattle, WA. We are a profitable, bootstrapped company that supports families with flexible schedules and generous benefits. Thank you for all the thoughtful comments. The intention of these examples is to show how root cause analysis breaks problems down in a way that’s easier to understand than a standard narrative. This is typically done with a cause and effect chart. Yes, the analysis is gated, but I’ve listed the links here:
Yes, we mention that there are other methods but decided not to go into detail about each one. Based upon the comments we're getting, it sounds like we could have gone a bit further in describing the other methods available. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the question. Our experience is that the causal analysis method described in the eBook is a more effective way to understand the causes of a problem and find effective solutions. We often discuss the pros/cons of different RCA methods in our free webinars and we have one about Fishbone in June.
