Building TimeCap: an app that removes the addictive sections of any social media. That means that you can check your friends' updates on Instagram without getting distracted by reels.

It is fully customizable, works on any social media, and it genuinely brought my screen time to less than 1 hour.

It is free to use for one platform, and is $29.99/yr for unlimited. And if you need the premium version but can't afford it, just send me a message and I'll sort you out.

I actually built an app to do that for iOS. It’s called TimeCap, and it creates a web view of Instagram without reels and the explore page. Then I use Beeper for the DMs. My daily social media use is less than 20 min per day now.

An iOS app that removes reels from Instagram, shorts from YouTube, and any other distracting features from social media. Also has a time budget feature to prevent you from doom scrolling.

I did not know you could essentially change functionality in other apps. How does that work tectonically? Do you need a specific entitlement?
