I'm wary of this. Are the bad guys really going to be honest about what icons they display? (edit: I realize I'm repeating what's written in the article)

I'm totally confused about how this works. The blog post and the home page didn't clear it up for me. Integrates with Gmail? What does Broadcast mean in this context? What do you mean, in your blog post, when you say you can now "archive the task".

Confused. Am I the only one?

It's a "Getting Things Done" thing, I think.

The relevant idea is that you take the stuff coming into your inbox (which represents obligations that you need to take care of, in theory) and then immediately convert it into something like a to-do list.

Right.

But how, exactly, does it work? Can I use Thunderbird? Outlook Express? Gmail? Is mail, or anything else, stored on some other site? Does it work on all platforms? All browsers?

Thanks for the feedback.

I understand your point about it being unclear.

Right now you can use Taskforce within Gmail. We are looking to do outlook and other email clients. The emails are stored (archived).

In terms of browsers we currently support: Firefox and Chrome, and we are looking to do safari soon.

We are creating an app that should help you deal with your overloaded inbox, by allowing you to create tasks from emails (thereby hopefully allowing you to archive if you like); and turning 'broadcast' emails from: twitter, linkedin, facebook, CC's (as we define broadcast - not necessarily directed at you but notifications) you've been included on and turning them into an 'activity' feed.

This combination of tools, we think should reduce the amount of unread emails in your inbox.

Great suggestion. Changed to PrintedPraise.com. Added CitySearch. Going to add plaques shortly (solid wood, lacquered, just like the fancy magazine article plaques).

Thanks guys for all the feedback. Today I will drop the "PrintedYelp.com" name. This way I'll avoid the greatest legal concern and "abstract" the site to enable prints from other review sites.

Also, I will contact Yelp and let them know what I am doing.

Prints with frames are definitely high on the list. I just need to source some good frames, try them out, etc.

Is there a reason why etacts.com doesn't show any screenshots?

this. feels like a terrible landing page (but if it works, it works)

etacts - might wanna do a "review my startup" post and get some feedback.

Out of curiosity: how old are you?

For what it's worth, I have a pretty similar opinion, and I'm 19.

Well I am more than twice that. So yeah, an old fogy. :)

FYI: Finding it odd that there is no "sign in" button.

Tried putting my e-mail address back-in on the home page and I get "need oauth token"

To be clear, you still need to give Etacts your password IF you use Google Apps (not simply gmail), right?

I just signed up with my domain account and I did not give them my password, although on their site they state that they need it for Google Apps accounts. Pretty odd.

It's still in the 'setup' state so I can't really do anything in their UI yet but it did let me login with my google apps email never the less.

If you set up a Google Account with your domain email address wouldn't that explain this?

I'd like to know too. My primary personal account is on Google Apps.

FYI - this format was popularized by Academy123 (a Los Angeles area startup that was acquired by Discovery Education).

They used Win32 software running on Tablet PC's and captured a teachers voice and handwriting in real time.

At their peak, they had about 400 teachers working from home creating thousands of 3-5 minute mini-videos each day.
