A PDF of the submission? Would be grateful if you had a link; I can't seem to find one on the website.

What's the tool?

Eclipse. Coincidentally used as the Java LSP for VSCode, in headless configuration.

Your not using rational rose to rad up your Java app?

I’m not writing Java for the last ten years or so. Instead Eclipse handles all the other things I use.

Visual Age for Java

OP

Were "the Economy" comprised broadly of 15-20 employee companies with a few £million turnover each per year, I think that could be good for it...

On a gigabit connection. It's hard to imagine clusters running on anything below 10Gb as an absolute minimum.

I don't think so. I had a Crystal Well laptop from MSI.

They also made them for desktop in I5, I7 and Xeon form.

How so? I'd imagine there's a net increase of intention, owing to the way AI closes skill gaps & lowers the barriers to entry for creation.

This is pretty simple to solve for. Eg. Have the app provide an ID the customer can quote to the CS rep; Have the app also log this ID, along with the system it's being run on, to the cloud/an interface that pops up an "unsupported system" message to the CS agent on entering the ID.

How does this solve 3b?

Why does that exclude it from production use?

I find the 14" perfect, but I also find a tiling window manager (universally) vital.

It has been tried once -- Radeon Pro SSG

Maybe. I'm not sure how it was implemented and I didn't see much in depth discussion about it, but it seems to me like that's more just a normal SSD sitting on the card, I was thinking something closer to an SSD with a vastly different (and likely more expensive) interface allowing for much higher bandwidth than an SSD typically offers, since there's not much advantage to having the SSD if you can't read it into cache quickly.
