Surely the Browser Company will move to Jira, even though it's using a direct competitor for Product Management... https://linear.app/customers/browsercompany Heh.

Curious what you think.

Curious to check this out, since they say it can run on a 4090 / Mac with >32 GB of RAM.

I can run it without issue on a 6800 XT with 64GB of RAM.

"Can run" is pretty easy, it's pretty small and quantized. It runs at 3.7 tokens/second on pure CPU with AMD 8945HS.

I just ran it on a 24GB M2 air. Slow, but functional.

Looks pretty sweet!

Yeah, completely blocked from pushing or pulling. Also, right before it looked like their slack integration notifs were delayed. Maybe their queue processing of that broke the site.

If your state or corporate actor can do this, it is just the beginning.

The idea that they scrape transaction data is unsettling

If you like Topre keyboards, the Leopold FC660C is fantastic. Really quality build and super comfortable to type on. A lot better than HHKB, in my humble opinion :)

I bought one about 3 years ago, and I have mixed feelings about it. My FC660C was quite wobbly and a bit scratchy, and seems to takes quite some force to press (leading to hand fatigue). For now I use it as a secondary keyboard, my primary is a Realforce R2 (45g, silent) which I like much, much better (although at a higher cost and larger form factor).

I'm now thinking about lubing the FC660C though, I've heard some people who had incredible results with it. (The typing sounds of lubed Topre keys you can listen on Youtube are just so heaven-like!)

I was diagnosed with ADHD around age 12 in early school. For about 10 years, I was on a lot of stimulant medication; Vyvanse, Adderall, Concerta, and tried many others. Only in the last couple years did I stop entirely. You get used to the sleep impairment after a while. It affected my ability to socialize. I was making excuses for my behavior and largely, I could summarize it as "feeling like a zombie, entirely reliant on a pill." My opinion on it now is that it can help you, but now I prefer to be in my default mode, unencumbered by meds.

The effects of stimulants is an upside down parabola. Too much and you actually get worse. However they always make it easier to sit with stuff like homework, so it makes parenting easier even when their kid don't need it and the medication actually hurts the kid. Therefore I think it is wrong to medicate a kid before they are mature enough to make their own decisions about medication.

I do know that medication helped me a lot, I got diagnosed as an adult though. I don't think I would have liked it if I was diagnosed as a kid and got pills with ever increasing dosage forced on me just so I would stay quiet in class.

Robinhood bugged out as I attempted to sell some of my AMC this morning. The Market Sell order barely went through and was visually glitched for 10 minutes.

Member of WSB here, no expert

The narrative of GME has been building for weeks before any news coverage happened. This isn't the first stock to blow up from WSB, but there are a few others in past weeks (none that have reached GME levels) such as BB, PLTR, and previously ABNB (whatever new stock that has IPO'd).

There are a handful of users that have $1M positions (some smaller ones, like a user that reported $250k into $7M, back down to $4.2M). Collectively, the community appears to drive hype towards different stocks based on flimsy things.

Without a doubt there's HFT (High frequency trading) happening, but these social communities are having an impact.

> but these social communities are having an impact

What that means is that people controlling those communities (including mods) have an immense advantage.

Yes. The former creator of WSB, jartek, was removed from the subreddit because he masqueraded as 'WSBgod' an anon user with crazy gains, but it was fake. He also sold ad space in the about section for $1500.

Of note they recently banned SPACs which directly means there will be less retail interest in SPACs since you can't even discuss them
