In the event of a serious war, I do not see how a side that is losing due to satellites does not just end up creating the Kessler Syndrome. Seems like the the continuation of scorched earth warfare in modern times.

The US at least is prepared for this. But bringing down sats will only happen in an open war between advanced adversaries. These days many nations can bring down a few sats but not dozens or hundreds, and kessler syndrome is a bit over-dramatized. It's bad on the long term but irrelevant during a conflict.

It is kinda like saying well the church did not enact the crusades it was the various kings and sovereigns who did. Well yes, that is true, but the church through its messaging put it into motion.

No, the root of the problem was death.

The root of the problem is the technocrats in charge. This sh*tshow happened under their direction. People used to get fired (or worse) for doing a lousy job & spoiling the commons. Now they are given even more power, riches, & a ubiquitous voice in all matters.

From my extensive experience of a few different suburbs, neighborhoods are often separated by large stretches of nature. Perhaps we have a different understanding of what a suburb is, but they absolutely contain way more nature than any city.

As someone who lives in a suburb, every time I visit a city and go to a city park I always am like "is this it?" Access to nature is far greater in the suburbs and it is not even close.

I would also add that nature is at its best when there is not many people, or better yet no people around you. Human dense places always strike me as very unnatural.

The use of "50- year low" in title of the article is manipulative in my opinion. Goldman Sachs says the employment rate is going back to 2019 and early 2020 levels.
