There have been plenty of directory services lately. During that same period, I also launched indieproducts.io. Luckily, it has grown organically, and I get at least two to three submissions every day (I approve one product a day).

Other than simply charging for submissions, what other ways could I monetize this service?

e.g. - Top spots(top 1 to 3 rows) for x number of weeks or months? - Write blogs and YouTube reviews for the paid submission? - What else could I offer as a paid service?

You could have a small commission for the sales on your platform.

You mean affiliate program?

I think it is - https://snazzy.ai/

Congrats that's awesome! When was it founded?

Also why would Unbound pay anything more than the cost of an engineer to integrate GPT-3 themselves? What was their thinking or what extras did you bring to the table?

We had users, early PMF and revenue :)

What kind of ML techniques did you use on top of GPT-3, outside of the baseline model?

Many already pointed out that your writing is good. I will just add, read about "imposter syndrome". That will clear some of your doubts and you might start thinking in a different direction (at-least for writing capabilities if not anything else).

p.s. I totally understand your feeling. I am also a non native English speaker.

BTW, accessing metarank.ai gives warning. May be because it has Meta in its domain name but Metamask shows this message --

This domain is currently on the MetaMask domain warning list. This means that based on information available to us, MetaMask believes this domain could currently compromise your security and, as an added safety feature, MetaMask has restricted access to the site. To override this, please read the rest of this warning for instructions on how to continue at your own risk.

I got the same warning. I forgot I even had that thing, to be honest.

But, in saying that - what kind of filter is MetaMask using to just blatantly wipe out domains like this? Kind of on the fence on how I feel about it.

Doesn't seem to be a Metafilter.

thats ridiculous.. MetaMask puts warning on anything with Meta* in the name? good luck with the horde of metaverse startups on the way

According to the code on https://github.com/MetaMask/eth-phishing-detect/blob/45ea5cf..., looks like that everything within Levenstein distance of 3 from whitelisted hosts (like "metamask.*") is blocked.

Metarank and Metamask have the distance of 3. I've made a ticket some time ago in their github repo (https://github.com/MetaMask/eth-phishing-detect/issues/6855), but it seems that it was lost in thousands of similar tickets.

Yikes, best to just uninstall it then. That's insanely hostile to harmless sites.

Sorry that slipped through, I'll bring the team's attention to it.

lol, a lot of "metaXXXX" "fixes" in the PRs too... https://github.com/MetaMask/eth-phishing-detect/pulls

Thanks for bringing this up, I've created an issue in their github to unblock us

Exactly, that is what I was hoping to find in this article. But if they disclose it might open up new opportunities and so quite possible we would never know.

Please elaborate somewhere on the website what it is going to generate. Web application, mobile app, smart watch app(based on one of the image) or all of them or just a responsive website. Other than that I had the same suggestion to remove requirement for account creation for trial or have a video/animation of how it works.

Good point, it generates a web app! It's built with native tech so eventually native apps. I've heard that suggestion a lot, video coming soon. Thanks for the feedback!

https://divjoy.com/ did a great job of providing reactjs(and extras) and was free for initial few months. Definitely refer to that for more inspiration on design and capabilities. May be provide some templates(pre-built) of few types(like the one you have it as part of tutorial)

The Webcodesk online version is designed to demonstrate the components and how they can be combined in an application. The components themselves can be created in the local version - it is Open Source.

>> "... and am unmotived to dive back into the fray..." What is done is gone now.

Think about it this way: You were stressed because of that situation/job which is no more with you. So why continue thinking about it and not be motivated again for a new job which definitely will be better or at the least different than the previous one?

Get back in the job market and start preparing with a positive attitude towards your new job(which you will get soon). And this time you know how you can identify the situation before it gets too late.

So sleep more today/tonight if you want :-) but get back to the job hunting with full throttle starting tomorrow. Good luck!

thanks for the pep talk!

Just typing it all out was pretty cathartic, getting a positive response in return gave a lil burst of renewed confidence. thx :)

Same story at my home. Research in this area is widespread. We have stopped giving screen time before school and it has improved the attention span thru our the day(may be there is some impact on how you start the day or may be just in my case).

Screen times are in the chunks of 20 mins, max 3 times a day. Alexa/Google have been helpful in setting up timers so no argument at the end whether it was full 20 min or not :-)

After returning from school. Evening, after completing school/activity work. After dinner.

Any day, not more than 60 mins(baring occasional movie time holidays/some weekends).

But due to this, I am not able to introduce them to "programming" because you tube and video games are taking up all the quotas and I am sure once programming is introduced 20 min window will not work.

Speaking of luck, this article was on front page sometime ago and had lot of good things about how to attract good luck.

The key to good luck is an open mind - [http://nautil.us/blog/-the-key-to-good-luck-is-an-open-mind]

So luck can be a factor, but may be that also could be a trait?
