I'd like to share with you my latest side-project, ThumbnailMaker.
As we all know, the first impression is crucial, and when it comes to YouTube videos, a thumbnail is the first thing a potential viewer sees before deciding whether to watch a video or not.
As a former content creator on YouTube (+50k subs & ~5M views), I've noticed that successful YouTubers have access to the best designers on the platform, which makes their videos more competitive than those from newer content creators who are just starting.
ThumbnailMaker aims to help all content creators increase their video's click-through rate (CTR), engagement, and ultimately, the success of their channel.
Impressive! Having already tried the simpler experience (development of a 2D web-browser game with multiplayer), things can get complicated very quickly and the way the project was carried out shows the quality of the work.
I won with my first game with my first move but I didn't really understand what happened. I think this might be caused by the process time that reinforce this feeling of "what's actually happening". Maybe a bit more information on the front page could help the player understanding what's happening.
Fun project. I might find it useful when it comes to quickly find arguments in a debate. It obviously can't replace a real discussion but it can definitely help.
I'm building ThumbnailMaker, the next-gen design tool I wish I had when I was making videos.
