If the political angle is not relevant to the analysis, then why do you enjoy it?

The politics angle is unavoidable because Krugman is commenting on the impact that the economic policies of the current US administration is having on the US economy.

This is the same US administration that fires staticians for reporting numbers that render bare the impact of their own economic policies, which they are actively trying to censor.

We live in a day and age where in the US reporting facts leads to political persecution. Of course mentioning stagflation, as Krugman does, is deemed political.

As thankyoufriend said, "economics is political".

Personally, I would feel like a discussion about economics that completely avoids politics would be missing something, and I would enjoy it a lot less.

Some people enjoy things that others do not

I just saw it indexed "eluvium," but the post was referring to a band with that same name

I checked out the author's other projects and this is common issue. For example, he has a "lean checker" for bluesky that claims it is right-leaning simply because of all the people saying "That's right," "He was right," etc. None of the supposed right-leaning posts were actually conservative in nature. They just used to word right to mean correct.

one, thank you for checking my website. two, that is the joke, 100% - at the time people kept talking about how "left leaning" bsky was and that idea came to mind

lmao that's fantastic

GeologySky will get to it soon enough.

Thanks to this I just learned about alluvium, eluvium, illuvium, and colluvium.

I'm so alarmed rn

Why would anyone make a .NET open source library when Microsoft is quick to squash anything that is actually useful with their own open source implementation?

Microsoft still has some lessons to learn about fostering an active open source ecosystem -- of course, unless they are intentionally suppressing it in .NET.
